If this is the case, there is a bios revision that supports that cpu.
I did not know that if it isn't support it will still run, but only at idle speed. The input you have provided has help ease my fears a lot. Thank you for the input and help!!!

The AMD FX-6300 is a FX chip.
Shouldn't need a bios update.
A lot of people have had problems with getting the 2nd gen FX series processors to work on non 990FX northbridge MOBOs, and even some only support the first gen versions. Not all information provide on newegg is correct, that's why I happen to be doing research, and OC.net was my final stop
