What do you guys think about these parts......

Thread Starter
for an upcoming build?

AMD FX-8320
Rosewill CAPSTONE-650 (Don't break my heart! I love Rosewill! She never broke my heart and she won't do it this time, will she?!?!)
ASUS M5A99FX PRO R2.0 (I'm really open to MB recommendations)
CORSAIR Hydro Series H80i (What do you guys recommend an good cooler the the 8320? Air... Water... I don't care!)
CORSAIR Vengeance 16GB (2x4GB might be trolled off the forums. Prices are jack high compared to an couple of months ago)
SAMSUNG DVD Burner (I don't consider an build done without one)
Western Digital WD Green 2TB (I realize this drive is slow rolleyes.gif but I had to throw something up here for storage)

I'm sure some of you are going to talk me out of that PSU. I like Rosewill but I won't get it if an superior one is out there for the same price. I need help finding the perfect graphics card the most - 7870 GHz edition or 7950 [*I smell best bang-for-buck emanating from the card thumb.gif]. I would like to stay under $900 for the parts listed (+ the little ones that aren't) and I'm really just looking for the best bang-for-buck, so nothing but the 8320 is set in stone. I already have an 64GB SSD and an copy of WIN8... so you guys don't have to worry about that. This build will really be used for PC gaming and moderate video editing.

Now I can go to sleep!!!! biggrin.gif

The Capstone Series is a high-end series of PSUs. Just because it has "Rosewill" on it, it doesn't mean it's junk. ;) The PSU that Rosewill used to create the Capstone Series is the coveted Super Flower Golden Green Series.

However, will you ever have more than one video card? I mean if not, then you could get a high-end modular PSU for only $10 more and still have all the power your system will ever need for all the overclocking you could ever want to do:

The 550W SeaSonic G Series for $89.99 shipped

I would prefer to recommend the 450W Rosewill CAPSTONE Modular Cable Version Series, but it's $88.64 after shipping!  Here:

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817151124

I think that this is all I can help with.

Look at the Sapphire 7870 XT edition. It is basically a 7930 since it uses the Tahiti chipset as opposed to the 7870 GHz which uses the older Pitcairn chipset. It can all be Crossfired with the 7900 series. biggrin.gif Just bought one for ~245 on Amazon.com, but you may can find them cheaper on Tigerdirect depending on the day of the week. They are currently out of stock on Amazon, but if you watch it you can end up with a good card for a reasonable price.

Edit: Just noticed the post above mine had the 7870 XT mentioned.

I must admit, seasonic if you can biggrin.gif

But also I seem to hear a lot of good things about Roswell lately - Just keep away from their side brand , Area 51 , as I believe that's what brought ET's ship down, faulty psu biggrin.gif

Not all of Rosewill's PSUs are good.

CORSAIR Vengeance 16GB - i would recommend downgrading to 8GB
$110 is a lot for the Vengeance (2x 8GB). you can use the cash in getting a better
video card. will make much more of a difference in gaming. but if you need 16GB
for video editing that makes sense. but for games 8GB is plenty.

Been trying to find a good DDR3 deal for a couple of weeks now. prices seem to be going up daily.

PowerColor AX7870 2GBD5-2DHPPV2E Radeon HD 7870 GHz EZ Edition seems to be more limited than the Myst Edition)

Reference desing will let you go full block in case you ever want to go water. non-reference most of the time
are quieter (dual fan setups) but dump the heat inside your case. shouldn't be a major problem if your case
has good air flow.
