I just installed H60 on my 3570k and running prime95 for 30 mins at 4.3ghz my highest core was 83C. Im pretty happy with the H60 it looks awesome works well its just noisy.

83C with water cooling, that little OC and you are happy? Im on air and my temp never goes above 77C with 4.4 Ghz and ive tested it for 14+ hours. Is your VCORE unreasonably high?

Those temps seem normal esp if ambient is little high. This is ivy bridge guys not sandy theres a heat difference. Most people don't even prime their 3570k's due to high temps when priming high overclocks. For instance prim95 is cool and all but almost not even needed anymore. Most of these stress test don't stress the chips in a way that people use them such as gaming or whaterver meaning they run prime for 12 hours pass call ti stable not true. I don't even use stability test just games such as bf3 or crisis game that are hard on ram and cpu. This will let you know if your truly stable check for whea errors etc.

Also dude the tjmax is 105 why does everyone cramp up when their chip goes past 80c. Makes me chuckle people still bust a forehead sweat with 80c ont heir chip....lol

Unless you need your chip to last 5+ years than crank it up man........run 4.8 @ 1.4v on h100i max celcius gaming is around 85c.

Live it up man!!!!

Thread Starter
It does make it hard to OC when under normal load it was reaching 70+C and ingame at 90+C I had no room to OC, opened up the case and remounted and created some better wire management for better airflow, unseated and reseated the cpu and cooler, never got above 70C during prime 95. and didn't see it either during CSGO so i think that was the issue. When i looked at where the paste made contact with the cpu there was only a very small percentage that had engaged with the cooler, (<~15%) Reseated now seems to work much better thanks for the help guys. Now i just need to find a solution to this noise issue i'm getting in the mini itx case. Can't use regular headphones with 1/8" jacks, have to run them through a usb soundcard. frown.gif
