meh so what if it is political in nature? if people are relatively polite and don't engage in personal attacks, what's the problem?

There have been many other systems that have allowed many people to become wealthy that were outmoded, discarded, or actively overthrown when they became troublesome.

Just because a system has benefited some people does not mean there is not something better, or that the original was even any good.

I bash unreasonable brand loyalty when it comes to things like PC component selection, and I'm even more quick to do so when the stakes are as high as personal freedom.

So my answer is yes, it is unreasonable to support a system that got you to where you are, if you can think of something you feel would be better.

It's rather difficult (read: impossible) to separate taxes and politics, so if there was a real problem with political talk, the thread should have been locked or deleted after the first post.

I would not mind paying taxes.......if our government knew what to do with them.
