Thats a high Idle temp. Mobile CPU's can take a little more heat than conventional desktop CPU's however you dont really want to exceed 65c with that Chip at full load.

What core is that chip...?

I just picked up not to long ago a 3400+ Athlon/754 2400mhz cpu..

popped it in and set it 200x12 @1.5vcore and it idles at 22c most all the time...it's never went above 35c even during prime...The cpu fan doesnt turn on till it hits 26c most of the time it's passive..

I modded a thermalright si-97 (not the 97a) to fit by using the stock h/s retension clip...

some times it dips to 21c..for 2400mhz it's sweet... very quiet...even pwmic is 31 and chipset is 25c...ambient is 66f
