Corsair 800D top mount rad and fan question

Thread Starter
Has anyone mounted this radiator in a Corsair 800D case with the fill port pointing to the top of the case? ie - drill a hole in the top of the case and mount a fill port there? rad is MCR320-QP Res R2

I am about to install this in a brand new 800D and thought it seemed like a good idea. Can anyone see any reason not to?

Also, I was thinking about mounting the fans between the top of the case and the radiator and "pulling" air through the rad, instead of pushing air as is normal (to make up the gap because of how the res sticks up on the end. How much cooling efficiency would I lose? My case is always in room with the temps in the mid-high 60's.

Thanks for any help,

Chris

I guess you could do that but I don't see why you would go trough all that trouble with a spacious case like the 800D. I would just use a regular rad and res setup.
