overclocked 3770k

Thread Starter
I got my 3770k to run @ 4.4 ghz 1.15 vcore. tested prime95 for 10 hours without any errors, during the stress test my core voltage ran about 1.12~1.128. So i was thinking about dropping the vcore down to 1.13 v. here is picture from the results pretty decent max temps considering it cooled with hyper 212+

Not bad at all. I have mine at 4.2 at 1.15v at the moment but haven't finished with mine yet. Temps aren't bad either, what's your ambient?

I was recording my results in MSI control center while running HWmonitor, to see if they vary. In control center there were extreme spike in mobo temps but the cpu temps were about the same as HWmonitor. So maybe its just a bug in the software, because the package temps on HWmonitor never went above 70c. My ambient temperature stays about 23c

what cooling system are you using?
I'm using a custom loop. The parts can be found in my sig rig. I'm far from finished tweaking the settings on my overclock though. Can still reduce voltage I reckon and possibly up the clock a touch more. But hey, that's what I'll have to find out!

Everything looks good. I am curious if you tweaked around with your LLC though the voltage drop is hardly noticeable

I learned about vdrop from DeXel
http://www.overclock.net/t/1239993/official-gigabyte-z77x-owners-discussion-information-support-thread-and-club-ud5h-ud3h-d3h-and-all/5190#post_19519594

If your motherboard allows it set it to extreme or something similar.

What vdrop is, is basically like you manually set your vcore to 1.15 but once you begin prime95 you notice that the voltage drops to 1.11 or lower.
