For high speed / mid / low

What are the best fans money can buy?

I'm not talking about a $1000 fan! Possibly a nice one under $30 would be amazing, please enlighten me or anybody reading, im sure this question is asked many times but over time new fans come out and the old suggestions are not so good!

The legendary Delta GFB1212VHW, 220CFM, 0.592 INCHES water. This is a dual motor dual blade fan that's louder than a vacuum cleaner!!!!

If you're really interested in high air flow, extreme pressure and tolerable sound, you should be looking a blowers.

Put one of those on each side of your case facing down and you could have a hovering case.

thanks for the list mate, i have the blade's was hoping there was something with higher static pressure at lower speeds
Speed (R.P.M.): 600 - 2000 R.P.M.
Air Flow (CFM): 21.2 - 76.8 CFM
Air pressure (mmH2O): 0.40 – 3.90 mmH2O
that is what the site shows for my blade's but I guess i might be asking for too much?

For mid/low speeds where sound is a consideration. specs are per manufacturer, so take with grain of salt.

120mm Noctua NF-F12 (direct heatsink placement only, imo not so good as a case fan): PWM, 300-1500rpm
1.83mmH20@1200/ 2.61mmH20@1500. My NF seldom goes past 1150rpm at load with a respectable OC. The NF-F12 claims some additional voodoo not entirely illustrated by its raw specs (i.e. "focused" airflow). I can't vouch for the specs/technology claims, but I have certainly been convinced by the results. Noctua is one company whose posted specs likely have a fair bit of integrity.

140mm Thermalright TY-141 PWM "900-1300rm", however my TYs regularly drop to 500-600 on pwm. Respectably smooth ball-bearing and very nice sound:perf under900rpm. No official static pressure rating from TR, but I've seen one or two respectable fan reviews that show its SP to be among the best in class (r.e. an Xbitlabs writeup I'm too lazy to google).
Honorable mention: Scythe Slip-140mm

those would be my choices in 120/140 especially if sound pressure matters. Another consideration in 120mm would be a San Ace 9G1212M4011, but they can be finicky at certain voltages. I've read good things about BeQuiet SilentWings 2, but I have no personal experience with it.

For more thorough info, I recommend reading through TaterTot's thread. My fan experience is a bit outdated.

For high pressure under $30? There's always these:

http://www.frozencpu.com/products/12575/fan-823/Koolance_120mm_x_38mm_High_Speed_4000_RPM_184_CFM_Fan_FAN-12038HBK-184.html?tl=g36c15s562

20.4mm H2O for $25, but it's loud and power-hungry. For lower price and more reasonable power requirements, there's the previously mentioned XSPC Xinruilians.

thanks for all the great fans.... good idea on what to look for now smile.gif

im not sure if i want to go fully mid speed so the noise isnt high or get a high speed fan and put it on low, all depends on its stats i guess right?

i also probably should have mentioned that 50dB fans are not an option smile.gif it's for my computer not airplane!
