Sadly, I've boycotted TD as well. I will only suggest it to people if they have a deal thats just so much better than everyone else, which is very rare. For Canada, between Newegg, Tiger, NCIX and MemXpress (and to a lesser extent, CanadaComputers, BestDirect, etc.) TD almost always has the highest price. And thankfully, I can price match anything dfrom TD at MemExpress now.

Don't get me wrong, I've had good orders, like my very first build I ordered online. That went well. It's just when anything simple goes wrong, or you need to contact CS, it goes downhill quickly. It's like their CS agents go out of their way to piss you off for no reason. And my god, NEVER do an order over the phone, you won't have anything in writing...

My last order from TD was for a 1090T at launch. They had a $50 MIR no other place offered and the lowest price. They sold out super fast but had a bunch of stock bundled with a crappy overpriced mobo rolleyes.gif

I called in an was able to get approved for the CPU outside of the bundle deal. Agreed to the price and shipping, went over my details and CC info, double checked and confirmed the price and order info, good. Took almost a week to process the payment and shipping and they charged me about $20 more. Had to take it up with the BBB to get back $14 and change when they owed me $22 and some... or something like that.

Was a pain. And they then tried to give me a run around on my rebate, wasn't cool. Thankfully I learned from my problems with Crucials terrible rebates and had my bases covered. BBB dispute quickly ended with a partial refund as I said, didn't bother going for the extra $6 or so. Though I can be persistent. Hounded Crucial for just over 2 years in bi-weekly emails and monthly phone calls till I got my rebates honored lol. I explained to them many times I would cost them far more in time wasted and employee wages dealing with me than just giving me my rebates. Plus they could choose to make a customer happy or pissed. I cost them many times more in wages AND got my rebates, AND never bought another Crucial product for years, and they were my fav Ram brand in the day. The deal on my M4 from MemExpress made me violate my Crucial product ban... Though its the last Crucial product I'll likely buy...

So I call, and some guy names Pablo picks up. I explain everything to him, he asks for my order number, and then silence. After 10 seconds, I ask, "...hello?" He finally responds, "yeah still here, just lookin something up." He directs me towards the rebate page, and I explain that isn't working and that's why I called. Again, like 10+ seconds of silence goes by. "Hello??" I asked again. "Oh yeah still here" is all he says. Then he puts me on hold for 5 minutes and tells me his team is working on it and to try again tomorrow. I say "okay, thanks" and he just says bye basically. Not 'Thanks for calling Tiger Direct' or anything remotely professional.

Right now I'm more curious to see if I'll even get what I ordered correctly. That place is a joke, never shopping there again. Not after today anyway.

I think every order I've placed with TD (5 or 6) has been messed up. I tried to order this drive from them FOUR SEPARATE TIMES around black friday and they messed up every single time. Lies, BS, and wasted time.

But good luck to those trying to get in on this deal!
