um im pretty sure no serious artist is ever going to use paint or iphoto. they are just not designed for professional use

The graphics design industry is dominated by Macs. If you go to school for graphics and web design, you learn on a Mac. If you get a job at a design or advertising firm, you are likely going to be using a Mac.

If you go to the Art Institute of Boston for example, you are required to have a Mac Book Pro.

I hate Apple, but that is the reality of the situation.
