SSDs and notebook compatibility question?

I have a Samsung NP300E5A-A02UB NOTEBOOK, Very happy with it, especially as I got a lovely price through cowboom.
I have been considering changing the HDD for an SSD,
Ordered ONE TODAY. Neutron 256 GB if it matters.
Decided to check installation on the Samsung Website.
I was told only HHD are supported, and only 320, 500, and 750 GB ones at that. That the laptop may not/will not recognize an SSD.
iS THIS EVEN POSSIBLE?
I have seen a multitude of complaints about W8, I even make some. Do not remember any about SSDs in laptops.
Using XP or VISTA concerns yes. (Neutron supports both)
What I am not aware of is any problems using SSDs ON LAPTOPS. Even older ones. the Samsung uses a 2350m processor. Would anyone build a Sandy Bridge I3 laptop that cannot use an SSD?
Anyone know?

The ssd will work fine. Whatever info your reading is wrong. As long as there's a 2.5" hdd slot (or an msata for that matter) in it, you can put an ssd in. Does your laptop have a hdd like this? http://www.samsung.com/us/support/supportOwnersHowToGuidePopup.do?howto_guide_seq=6413&prd_ia_cd=N0000137&map_seq=40301

Yes and yes, I hope the Samsung SUPPORT IS (CTA).

I looked at the HDD upgrade instructions. Basically I just wanted to research BIOS possibilities, hopefully ACHI is possible, I just found it incredible there was no SSD information on the website and "on line chat" said no way. Cannot do much till SSD arrives.
