Benchmarks won't start :( 7950 13.1 / 13.3 beta

Hi, I've recently run into an annoying problem...ALL of my benchmark applications just refuse to start! To be more specific, Furmark, Kombustor and OCCT. I was running 13.3 Beta drivers when I had the problem. Reverted to 13.1 and the problem still persists. I'm using an MSI 7950 at stock clocks (880/1250). I don't know why this has happened as I've used all these applications to overclock my card in the past with no problems. Whenever I click "Start Benchmark" on Furmark, It's goes to a grey screen with a popup window that says the application has stopped working and only gives me an option to close it. Does anyone have any idea on what's going on?

Are you trying to run the benchmark with other windows open? Try closing everything except the benchmark. Have you taken the card out at all? Did the problem start right when you upgraded drivers?

I restarted my computer and closed all active applications and the problem still persisted. No, i haven't taken the card out. And yes it started after I upgraded to the 13.3 beta drivers. I was previously using the beta driver before the latest one. I am now using 13.1. My card still plays games like bf3 and crysis at 99% gpu usage without any crashing or artifacts so I doubt my card is faulty

Furmark & kombustor aren't really useful for anything. I don't know OCCT, but just use furmark or kombustor if you need to know how hot the card can get under load.
There aren't really any threads comparing furmark scores to see how your card is doing, & they are useless for stability testing, so they really have no use.

The gray or red screen I usually get when the voltage or temps are too high, but I'm not sure I've seen it on an air or water cooled card before. Is it just those 3 apps that do it? Gaming & game type benchmarks are OK?

I had no idea furmark was useless for stability testing. My temps are fine, 35c idle and 65c under load. I wanted to use Kombustor to test my overclock stability but it just won't start. I'm running at stock voltages and clocks. Games run absolutely fine.

Yea don't use kombuster for stability testing. Try 3dMark or Unigines Heaven or Valley.
