What quantity of logitech g1 versions exist? Why I see multiple on ebay and have forgotten.

Thanks and sorry for my english.

AFAIK there is one 800dpi version and one 1000 dpi version.

Both have minor prediction and a pretty low maxspeed.

If you are in the market for one, i'd strongly suggest waiting until the new line of G mice is released in a week or two. The new G100s looks like it may be a good mouse.

Still very precise mice.

Yes, for RTS i'd even use a G1. However for most FPS players I'd wager that the ballpark 1.5m/s speed is a bit of a dealbreaker.

Depends on play style. Dominant wrist motion will merely peak the usable range, while large swipes would require high max speed.

Maybe a tad surface subjective as well.

Edit: 12bit data path shouldn't really limit tracking speed, but a lower native registry would have vastly improved average IPS tracking speed under current setup.

There's only one version: 1000 DPI that comes with both glossy and non-glossy shells. 800 DPI version isn't produced anymore, not even in Korea.

G1 has low max control speed and is unsuitable for FPS players while MS WMO1.1/IME3.0 have even lower PCS and are mice with more FPS tournament wins than any other sensor. Yeah, makes sense. Also, BMW M3 sucks because Bugatti Veyron is much faster. biggrin.gif

Yeah. MX300 (which is basically the same sensor) while limited to 400 DPI has much higher tracking speed (after overclocking USB to get past 8 bit data path).
