Fx-8350 problems

Thread Starter
I recently purchased a Fx-8350 and a liquid cooling kit off ebay and seem to having strange problems.

1.Random freezes at stock settings.
2. All cores always running between 4-4.2ghz
3. Only core 0 temp appears in monitoring programs

Other info:
Motherboard Gigabyte 990fxa-ud5 rev 1.0 running bios F11
Ram is G-skill sniper 1600mhz running at stock settings
Voltages bounce between 1.420 - 1.456
Temperatures staying below 41c

try the new beta bios ... i would say its the board but u never know

i opted to get the asus m5a99fx pro over that exact board from all the bad feedback from it

I would only worry about the freezes, unless the Turbo Core mode is disabled. Check the mobo for bent pins.

Updating bios and disabling amd application power management seems to have stop crashes, but my clock speeds still won't go down and I have cool & quiet enable does anyone know what could cause this?? Core usage is at 0 percent on almost all cores yet they are still at these speeds.
