[IGN] BioShock Infinite PC Review - Page 6

Doesnt the PC version have vsync = 30fps lock and heavy tearing anywhere above 30? So ive read on other forums.

Others have noticed mouse issues, sometimes its slow as hell, sometimes its fast, sometimes if may freeze for a short time etc. Even with acceleration off.

probably be fixed in a few weeks with drivers. Guess I'll hold off and not purchase since I'm running a gtx 590. I think it took Nvidia about 3 weeks to fix the Assassins Creed snow flickering problem.

Huh. I got 18.11 and 42.75.

Benchmark says I averaged 86fps, minimum 25, and maximum 188. 1080p Ultra DX11

But look at this...
Quote:

Please stop posting this!

This is completely wrong and the game does not run like that. It also does not have any issues with mouse smoothing. Once it is turned off, just make sure you are happy with the acceleration. There is also no sort of 30fps lock. What people are doing... is not turning on vsync, but a frame limiter. You simply have to turn on vsync outside the game in your CP. Then turn off the frame limiter in game.

As I posted in another thread:

I am getting

178fps average @ 1920x1080
126fps average @ 2720x1530

I think that it runs incredibly for how it looks. The lowest fps I am getting in the bench is 92 @ 1530p.

Derko it does run like that.

I just installed it and played for an hour, jesus so many FPS Drops sub 30, sometimes it even freezes for a couple seconds.
Average 60fps but yeah... those framedrops for no reason arent helpful.

Oh and mouse do have some issues, I lowered sens to like lowest and it still is kind of twitchy, horizonally, but vertically its like its using NEGATIVE acceleration, which means much more movement is required in order to do what you do in other games.

Yeah, i had some FPS issues, especially whith the skylines. Being an Unreal Engine game I thought I would be able to run this on Ultra like other Unreal games, but i can't. It uses a heap of VRAM, and I think that is my issues. My 2 caards are 2gb each and is using all of it. Somehow i am seeing 2100mb+ each. Still, it is stable enough and I have no drops during combat, which the important thing. No doubt i will finish this before any patches come out;)
