Looking on buying a korean IPS, and I have a quick question.

I have been reading up on these korean IPS monitors, and I found this 270QH lite shimian on buy2korea.

http://buy2korea.com/index.php?dispatch=products.view&product_id=3705

Most of the shimian's I see on ebay are around $350 or so. I have heard that "green-sum" is a very reputable seller, and this buy2korea site is apparently his site, but I haven't really found much info on this site. I was wondering if it would be a smart idea to purchase off of this site owned by green-sum, or would it be better to just buy off of ebay?

Thanks.

I would actually just buy it from ebay.

Maybe this site is great I dont know but it is not giving me confidence.

agreed, at least w/ ebay you have some chance of getting your money back.

edit: not saying that the seller will rip you off or anything lol, just to clarify. I have a Yamakazi Catleap and love it thumb.gif

alright I will probably just buy one off of eBay then. it is only like $30 more which isn't really a big issue and I get more security. thanks!

Also, is the small price premium of a crossover 27Q LED (non P) worth it over a shimian? It has a metal back but I never really move my monitor so a plastic back wouldn't really be an issue. Any other reason a crossover would be better or should I just go with shimian?

Take a look at the above club.

There are way more Crossover users than the Shimian.

I think the reason is the bezel quality and the stand.

Hm I may go for a crossover 27Q then, I did look up just now that the stand quality is a quite a bit better than the other monitors. seems to be worth an extra $20

Yeah do that.

I used to own a Yamakasi Catleap 270. Although a great monitor I always wished getting a Crossover because of the stand and bezel. Other than that all the Korean monitors are pretty much the same in terms of visual quality.
