I can vouch that the HARDCOP's bench with 1080p MAX 2 x SSAA is correct. My 670 FTW gets wrecked. 4 x SSAA doesn't even work correctly, so I guess that "SSAA" isn't exactly optimized yet


can anybody vouch for the 680's performance

Are you saying that Gaming Evolved had no hand in breaking performance in Shogun 2 for NVIDIA cards within TWO patches with some esoteric shader code that was specifically compiled for Radeon GPUs?

Are you saying that the Global Illumination code in Dirt Showdown isn't specifically tailored to AMD cards?

Both AMD AND NVIDIA are EXACTLY like that and thinking otherwise is narrow minded in the extreme.

Considering AMD had a hand in the development, they'd want to create an illusion that these features, while not exclusive to AMD, are only well experienced by their product. Not that this is anything out of the ordinary, every company does this...

What do you mean specifically tailored ? its just direct compute code. DirectCompute is a Microsoft standard and any DirectCompute code should work fine on Nvidia cards too. Sleeping Dogs too runs much faster on AMD cards especially with 1080p extreme AA or 1600p High AA.

I don't think the charts were saying that. Some dips on the low end skewed the average, but it looks the most of the actual play time has the two cards running about 20%ish apart. It's not like the 680 was sitting consistently at 44fps while the 670 was cruising along at 30. I'm not too good at this numbers stuff, so I apologize if that seems like gibberish. ha.

Anyway, I was surprised by how well my 6950 ran it on High+Hair Tress. I was afraid turning on tressfx along with High settings would turn nasty, but it's totally playable. Maybe I'm getting crappy fps and just have low standards, but it seems fluid.
