Best monitor for $150, not even any competition thumb.gif
It's normally $200.

14ms GTG? Thats not very good.

I would go with the Asus mentioned above. Great all around monitors.

Quoted response times mean nothing, 80% of the time they are complete rubbish. Check out some real reviews.
In practice it's around 5ms.

IPS monitors have much better colours, better contrast ratio, pretty much everything is better other than response time but that's barely noticeable.

It is a nice monitor but if you're spending that much you'd be much better off buying a 1440p monitor.
You are getting way to hung up on response times, manufacturer quoted response times literally mean nothing at all.

I have that Asus VG248QE monitor and its the best u can buy at the moment.

if u want the best gaming monitor i would recommend this one it is realy awesome!!

But for all things it is a great monitor tho, the colors are great and the contrast is very very good.

So if u have the money for it i would go with that one for sure.

Anyway to try out these monitors in person OP?

I would try to test as many of the monitors you're interested in person to see if the IQ/response time is acceptable to you.

Everybody is different and have their own preferences.

Dell has their version of the 21:9. Waiting for a bigger coupon code to drop before picking one up. The 21:9 monitors seems like cheating for online games.

Currently have an Auria (1440p) and XL2410T on my main rig and I only game on the 120hz monitor so my vote goes 120hz.

If you browse or actually work, the 1440p is so much nicer with the extra screen space.
