nVidia 660 ti Performance Drop

Thread Starter
I know it's not much to go off of, but just out of nowhere, it seems the performance of my 660 ti has dropped by like half, according to benchmarks and just what i've noticed. any ideas as to why? Maybe tests to see if it's working properly?

That chassis.....................

Kepler like to be cold in order to boost to it's correct clocks, i would look at temps.

It never goes over 67 degrees when im gaming. i actually use a house fan for extra cooling sometimes. would the house fan mess it up? maybe it's got a magnet or something?

Have you checked Afterburner or PRecision to make sure the card is still boosting correctly? I've noticed mine getting stuck at lower clock speeds occasionally (either 526 MHz or 834 MHz) instead of boosting. Reboots fixed it though.

Check the GPU Clock speed (in the center on Precision) while running a load (3DMark or Heaven or Kombustor or anything that will put a load on the card) and see what it is. It should be up over 1000. Also check the GPU Usage and Power Level (easier to see on the Afterburner chart).
If the GPU/Mem clock speed stays in a straight line, you're not losing performance from the card and the issue lies somewhere else!
