[LR] Corsair Announces Vengeance K70 Mechanical Keyboard w/ Backlighting. - Page 6

It's just a K60/K80 hybrid with some features not present from the K80 like the M#/MR buttons.

I really like the black/red one. I have the K90 and I LOVE the quality/feel of it. The cherry red's are my favorite. Like most people though, I never actually use the macro keys and with my desk layout, the extra size gets in the way sometimes. I can't really justify getting another keyboard as long as my K90 still works, but I would love to have one!

Looks exactly like my k60, but with lights and mech switches on the keys I never use any way. I got my k60 brand new for $45, there's no way this is worth double, even with normal retail prices.

If this was under 100 it would be a way better deal

It would have been good ~ 100-110.

You don't understand the issue. Most mech switches have the release point just before the activation point, which means that when the switch debounces you can press it immediately to add another stroke. On the mx blue, however, the release point is some lenght before the activation point, which means that when it debounces you have to up your finger higher than normal, for it to record then next key-press. This is a cumbersome when double-tapping (something that is terribly common on any fps), although a non-issue for everything else. Still, it's important to understand it: sure you can get used to it, but it's there, and it's a pita when you HAVE to move and it won't because of it rolleyes.gif

The actuation is AFTER the bump. This mean that you DO NOT have to depress the key to double tap. If you have a blue board laying around try it, it work pretty well.

I understand your point but I am positive that one should not make the decision of not buying mx blues only because some people find it harder to double tap. I find them fairly enjoyable to use, and i've been quite successful in FPS with them, even if I prefer reds.
