You do not need a i7 for gaming.
you only need a i7 for video editing

What do you think about this rig? : http://i.imgur.com/Js7gPp7.png

I would avoid the Z77 Pro3, it has old D-PAK MOSFETs that tend to get hot and are far less reliable than current Lower RDS(ON) MOSFETs.

The i7, besides being a waste of money for a gaming isn't overclockable. I wouldn't go with a Green HDDs since they're slower 5400RPM drives.

Than i will change the HDD, and i chose an i7 because it's a little better than a i5 on gaming and i will be doing video editing

If you are not going to get the unlocked version just get a cheap H77 board...

Here you have a solid system with a i7 and a SSD:

If you want you can add a cooler to reduce the noise of the stock intel cooler if that bothers you. Make sure the cooler fits cause the case is small

adridu59 i have a pro 3 and no problem what so ever i think that problem is only on the extreme4. But even so he is not overclocking so no problems at all.
My board does 5.1GHz no problems:

An i7 isn't required both for gaming and video editing, unless you do video editing to the point where you need enormous amount of memory and calculation (working with RAW files) which I think isn't the case there.

Yeah I see your 5.1, I've seen 5 GHz on Z77 Extreme4 too (can't find it back) it all depends on the particular case but the biggest problem is that those VRM's aren't meant for fast-switching current supplies (from Sin explainations) that's why they tend to get hot and have lesser reliability.

If you search about the Z77 Extreme4 VRM/MOSFETs you'll see what I mean, it's been discussed a lot recently.

@F2Player feels like you want the 3770k just to say you have it. Save your money and waste it on something else thumb.gif
