So, this might be a nub question, but I thought it couldn't hurt to ask before I spent another $220 on a second video card, and either Google hates me or I fail at searching.

I have an ASUS Sabertooth 990FX R2.0 motherboard and an MSI Radeon 7850/OC 2GB Twin Frozr video card.

I'm considering buying another video card identical to the one I already have and doing Crossfire, which my motherboard supports.

Does it make a difference that my motherboard was made by a different company than my video cards when setting up Crossfire? Do my video cards need to be made by ASUS to do Crossfire on an ASUS motherboard? Or can I use two MSI video cards to do crossfire on an ASUS motherboard and expect it to work just fine?

Any insights are appreciated.
