I am immune to the effects of it--I make my own luck anyway LOL.

I was sorely grieved when I killed the Abit on ICE--but a fan--Cmon that's something I can fix...or ignore (unless it messes with my Benchmarks...)

My spate of wierd luck continued on this mod BTW... I had just finished the leaktesting and was running some benchmarks and reached up to adjust the tricool fan switch and my knuckle impacted the running 200mm fan blade--and it snapped off.

Snapped right the heck off and fell on the floor. The rig began to shake like a washing machine with a bad load...I finished the bench and shut her down and spent a good while trying to figure out how the heck I was gonna glue that blade back on. I have ABS glue and stuff--but you know that stuff is crap--plus at about 5am I realised I was likely to destroy something else with the glue--I had already gotten away with drilling holes in a pair of 7800GTs and a no-leak WC loop--so I did the next best thing--I snapped off the opposing blade.

What a PITA it will be to redo this whole rig--not only do I have to drain and strip out the gear I have to totally disassemble the top--and the only way to get at the top is by drilling the rivits and pulling the bay column apart.

So instead I am running the fan on low so it won't shake and it still cools great.

The PA160 is the thermal equivalent to a 3 X 120 rad--specifically a PA120.3 which is the best you can get IMO. So with that a Storm and a 655 pump from Swiftech the loop is working even at low CFM.
Hey, sent you a PM of where to pick up another 200mm fan. Hope that helps you out.

Also is what I bolded true? Cause I picked up a Black Ice GTS 360 rad. But that would of worked out a hell of a lot better for me.

Yes it is true--please refer to this as it contains the technical data that will prove beyond a doubt that there is most definitely a brand that outperforms all other: ThermoChill. Less resistance, more exhange at lower CFM--it's what you want.

Thermochill builds to Stew Forster's spec--and IMO Stew Forster is the God of WaterrBlock design... as good as the 120.3 is--the PA160 is just as good. Couple that with a 200MM fan and you are looking good!

* Black Ice GT - 9.2k
* Black Ice Extreme - 11k
* Alphacool NexXxos Pro - 11.2k

* NexXxos Pro - 6.1k
* NexXxos Extreme - 6.1k
* HTF3-x - 6.3k

Unfortunately they are temporarily out of stock on the PA160...but the PA120.3 is a great rad. The FF might work better for some apps.

lol very true. But why get a storm when you can pick up a stinger block?

I do like the difference in flow though very much, seeing how the stinger and storm blocks are more for high flow/pressure loops.

hmm decisions decisions, gonna try finding that 120.3 cheaper somewhere might change out my GTS 360 for it.
