I'm willing to pay more for quality, as long as it is not exceedingly expensive. When it comes to RAM I am in the dark and clueless. Thanks for the information and reply.

Xigmatek Gaia ($20)

Team 2x4gb RAM ($48) If you get an APU you want 1866mhz RAM. If you get a non-APU, RAM speed has next to no effect on actual real-world performance. (Reason for difference: APU RAM is basically also your video ram, so speed matters.)

Radeon 7770 ($110)

Total: $412. You'll also want to overclock for best performance. If you don't want to overclock, you can get a locked Intel i5 system for almost the exact same as above. This costs about $100 more than the APU build you were considering, but would be significantly more powerful in terms of CPU & GPU oomph.

I appreciate you suggesting a new build but I already have this one half way under. The APU is already spoken for an purchased, I was just trying to get the motherboard/RAM situation figured out. And for the heatsink/cooler I was going for the Xigmatek Dark knight II, mainly for aesthetics as well as the cooling.
