New Logitech G-Series - Page 21

Just got my G100s, I'm adapting to it now biggrin.gif

I'm not sure why I EVER decided to deviate from the brand though, feels good to be back. No gimmicks, just great performance (Yeah the decals look a bit cheesy but they're pretty dark anyways). I don't mind paying $40 either, as long as Logitech maintains its excellent customer service I'll definitely get my money's worth.

Hey guys, I should probably let you know my experience from today. My g100s arrived in the mail this morning and immediately I was curious to test it out. Initially everything seemed to look ok, looking like it tracked around 2.8m/s or therein (fluctuating at various ranges, with enotus) but I found that once I jumped in-game I started to experience some problems. For Star 2 I experienced no tracking issues far as I could tell, but testing things out initially in Quake Live and CS:GO I noticed that any fast movements (flick shots, quick rotations, etc...) past about 2.5-3m/s would cause the mouse to start malfunctioning in varying degrees of severity (some were very bad). Surfaces tested on were Artisan Hayate, SS qck, and Propus 380, all of which exhibited the same issue. I need to investigate this further, but I'm wondering if any others have had the same issue (I guess I wasn't expecting the MR to be so close to the max ips). For reference I'm a very low sens guy, at around 90cm/360°, but I tend to use 800 cpi and drop the sensitivity to accommodate this (750 in this case).

Also the right click feels kinda unresponsive (soggy or...)? Definitely not as crisp as the left click. This makes right click spamming in SC2 feel somewhat unresponsive, or not so enjoyable.

I'm not really a low sens gamer anymore, but I see what you mean by malfunctioning. Precision wise, the mouse is very good, though IPS is lacking compared to alternative choices (via similar surfacing).

Wrist based players won't have much of an issue with that, though gamers that make use of full arm will.

Coming from a middle ground (30-40cm) playing style, I'm rather content with tracking, but the whole weaker hardware (architecture) thing is still in the back of my mind. redface.gif

And yeah, the right click was annoying. Had to swap to original G100 top plate to remedy. (Which imho, looks much nicer).

I freakin love this thing. I don't want to hype it yet like I did right away with the Abyssus (And subsequently realized it had insane jitter, then returned it), but it seems insanely solid and I love the ergos. It's nice and small, but not ridiculously so. I don't really know anything about sensor tech etc., but the tracking seems excellent, and it's the first mouse I've seen with the ability to switch the DPI in increments of 250.

So is this soggy feeling on the right click an issue that all of them have? Or is this just a common problem?
I've had my g100s for about a week, still switching between it and the abyssus (can't decide which I like better, I'm just very used to the abyssus at this point).

Both the buttons on mine are very crisp, no soggyness that I've seen others mention. The cord doesn't really bother me either, so overall I think its a good mouse if your into the ambidextrous form factor. I also took the weight out, thing feels super light very easy to throw around (almost too light haha).

My only real complaint is the graphic they decided to print onto the shell. It screams half-assed after thought. This is subjective, but I find simpler designs much more aesthetically pleasing.

Lol @ this 1 star review of the G100s on Amazon:

I just smashed a logitech g9 on the floor into a billion peices because its built like garbage. It began to float, and once i smashed it open it was clear why. Its held together with tape on the inside. ***

Logitech makes junk. This isnt the old days of 99 when logitech made solid mice. Now logitech is overpriced junk.

Someone is angry...

This kind of situation?

This is uber 1337! How do you turn on the blue LEDs? I will buy a million of these.

It doesn't have any light effects or 11,400 HP. I am not buying that piece of worth less junk.
