How to void your warranty:

Internals

G100 = A3055
G100S= AM010

The HW design itself looks the same and while that could very well be the case, there are improvements in regards to tracking code. A potentially similar case would be A3060 and A3090. Both are technically considered different designs per manufacture. Common practice in electronics industry.

Rest is nothing special. Basic limited marked otp controller, FR2, Omron D2FC 20m, Logitech Optical encoder design. yada yada.

G100S LED is infrared. Lens is Avago branded and looks identical to model ADNS-5110-001.

G100S with 15G weight removed.

Thanks for the infos. I just hope tracking doesnt feel as bad as other 8 pin sensor mice. It doesn't look bad from the paint pictures tho.

What are the default DPI levels, without driver btw?

1000,1750,2500. Same as G100

Default hz is 500, Can switch to 125hz via driver.
post #76 of 243
As u didn't mention 250hz i guess u have to choose between 125/500? Because 250hz would be my desired refreshrate (depends on the mouse)

Driver

Enotus request. 500 DPI @ 500hz

1000 DPI @ 500hz

Speed will variate based on many variables (Surface, LED tolerance etc....) Take these only as a mere estimate. Surface is SS QCK

Continuous 750 DPI @ Fast motion (500hz)

2500 DPI at fast (top) and slow motion (bottom) (500hz)

Tracking is quite precise. Nicer than some poorly implemented A3090, though you do have to consider than I'm limited to 500hz polling. (Which I disagree with). There are weaker mice (tracking wise) at a lower MSRP that offer this simple feature.

1000hz via driver tick (500hz default) would have been cool if a possibility. Too late now ;o

From a technical standpoint (ignoring what matters), Ax6x+ 20pin family is likely still a superior solution in terms of HW. though with the constant modification of SROM/Code, I wouldn't doubt the possibility of negative side effects. But who knows, maybe I'm looking too much into things...

Skylit's post made me curious and I went on and removed the weight, now it feels like my hand is the mouse and there is nothing under it biggrin.gif

Skylit do you know what this is? When I first saw it I thought it was part of the mouse feet, but it feels rough not smooth like the feet, any ideas?

Not sure. CPate will prob have your answer.

Seems unnecessary design wise biggrin.gif
