Corsair 800D question

Thread Starter
Hey i just purchased the corsair 800D case and ive been reading some information and i saw this line
"Three 140mm fans included(Which ones?), with the ability to add four more 120mm fans"
can anyone suggest a picture with explanation where i can add more 120mm fans?because i can't find that on the case
thanks

One pulling up for the bottom, one pushing out back, and one for the hard drive area.

I think the rad will hang over a bit into the vacant 120mm fan spot, so I don't think you could put another fan in that spot.

Yea will hang over a bit on both sides. Why would you need a 3rd? Oh yeah push pull it will fit...

That extra fan will be useless as heat rises anyways. You'll already have forced air going out the top with the h100i rad fans.

It's not going to make a difference. What would make the biggest difference is putting that fan as an intake in the front drive bays. The 800D has superior cooling features. It has 3 separation of heat sources. The case design does not let allow for the mixing of hot and cold air. All heat sources have their own paths of ventilation. The 800D has the best cable management system of any case. You couldn't even run your wires messed up if you wanted to. Do to the design of the cable management system it does not affect the airflow inside your case, as much as other cases. Less resistance means better airflow. Now lets look at resistance a lot of other cases. These cases have a front intake only to have HDD bay behind it. To do this very common design two thing go wrong. There is resistance and a heat transfer do to your HDD's. So now not only has the resistance of the HDD bay decreased your airflow, the HDD's themselves have absorbed the cool air entering the case and are now rejecting heat into your airflow. That hot air is now on your hardware, but wait a minute. Doesn't your hardware heatsinks or liquid cooling equipment both work off a heat transfer? Yes it does. But, is it going to work as good with the hotter air that is now inside your PC case? No do to the hotter air there is less of a give and take of heat. It is cooling but not as well as it should be or as we say "efficiently". That is why the 800D has superior cooling features. Now if anyone in any case wants to further cool and or increase their airflow and heat transfer you can add a Drive Bay Coolers (5.25"). I have the Scythe KAMA-BAY. That way my CPU cooler will get direct uninterrupted heat transfer.
