Its been so old (My PC not me)
i chose 3770k would be my next pc which i would have bought this week , until i saw this
http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/core-i7-4770k-haswell-performance,3461-8.html

come on.......... intel:mad:

So guys should i wait ?
or just take a 3770k and be happy

PS
i should be using a
7950 GPU and only 1 monitor
Browsing , Virtual Machine, Gaming , Photoshop ............. are my regular usages

Q1
3770k has 4 usb 3.0 and 4 sata 6.0

4770k should have 6 usb 3.0 & 6 sata 6.0

right ?

Q2
Any new improvements besides HD 4600 Graphics and improved Processing synthetic tests

depends on what you currently have, so it's not as easy as saying 'just get the 3770K now and Z77 mobo'...
I guess it would depend on what your price point is. You can bet the 4770 will be $100 more whether they drop the price of the 3770 and bring in the 4770 at the 3770 is now or leave the 3770 at the same price and have the 4770 $100 higher. Not sure yet since I'm not sure they have released a price point. I think the performance gain will be around 5-10% over the 3770 like they did with the 3770 over the 2600k. Is it worth the extra $100 it's really up to you.

grab the 3770K and Z77 mobo now, the overall difference in Ivy and Haswell will be about the same its always been with Intel.
7% average maybe.
so if you can't take it anymore and I commend you on making it thus far..... smile.gif
perfectly safe to upgrade now.

what 's the prices on a i7-2600/2700K.?
i think you should get the 3770k the jump between IB to haswell wont be much the the jump form a p4 to a 3770k will be massive also do you know what motherboard will you be getting with it?

3770k- INR 20.5k
2700k- INR 19.6k

The extra SATA6 ports are hopeless, ya only going to get 2 proper SATA6 ports from every MB.
Usually a external USB3 (Apart from the 4 from SB, 2 backpanel 2 front panel) for that, ASMedia controllers found on ASRock boards and ASUS boards
