I'm sticking with my 3770k for another 2 years-ish. That will give me some time to search for a golden chip biggrin.gif

7% average maybe.
so if you can't take it anymore and I commend you on making it thus far..... smile.gif
perfectly safe to upgrade now.

what 's the prices on a i7-2600/2700K.?

The only caveats here seems to be in the FPU integer performance, and L1 Cache bandwidth. Real world though, unless you plan to do a lot of number crunching, folding and what not, it really won't matter a whole lot. I'm on a 3570k, and the only reason I may get a Haswell is the appearance of more games that can utilize more than 4 threads.

that looks like a nice jump..... though not noticeable to the human eye as in gaming sense...
thanks. smile.gif

Could have made that clearer. I'm anticipating future games to be able to better utilize mulithreaded cpu's, now that quad core and not dual core CPU's are the most prominent
.

most games do not but more are coming do not worry about it most games wont for a few years, i think crysis 3 or far cry 3 does. the extra sata 6 ports are not very useful unless you are using on board RAID or a lot of fast HDDs and SSDs. how many usb 3 devices do you have? are you going to use 6 of them at the same time?
