690 GTX Q-SLI vs 7990 Q-Fire vs TITAN Q-SLI

Thread Starter
Just out of curiousity (can't seem to find any benchmarks)
How would the end results be when it's purely about the most powerfull setup?

690 GTX Quad SLI (2 cards obviously)
7990 Quad Crossfire (same)
TITAN Quad SLI (4 cards)

My guess would be 7990 > Titan > 690GTX.
From my understanding Quad SLI 680 > 690 due to the 690's being restricted by memory and power.

But besides the results of the above "challenge". What if you could overclock them? Some cards respond way better to OCing then others in both performance per clock and possibility's in overclocking.
What would the end result be?

Titans on their own are almost as fast as a 690 so it would go Titan Quad SLI >>>>>>>> 7990 CFX > 690 SLI

drivers would be awful for all of them, an incredible waste of money. In terms of processing potential then Titans>7970s>680s

Obviously anything above dual cards is a waste of money. But just hypothetically speaking.
I think the Titan Quad SLI is gonna be king. But the 7990 is still the fastest single card right?

4 cards are going to be slower then 3 cards your CPU will be the bottleneck unless you have some insane monster overclock

Thanks captain obvious.

However, i disagree. why would 4 cards be slower then 3? Put in 2 titan's in your system and it's likely you will already bottleneck your CPU. Let alone 3 or 4.
4 cards is gonna be faster then 3, that's simple. However, the perfomance gain will be worthless.

Almost all the reviews i have seen show that 4 cards are slower then 3 in many cases so i am not saying i know they will i am just saying that i have read that from professional reviewers

Titans, I would say 3 of them.

Depends on what your doing really, 2 7990s costs the same as 2 titans, A single 7990>Titan And in some situations 7990 quadfire would be faster then titan quadfire, However in all honestly? All those setups are overkill, I'd put my money on 2 7990s because it's better value for money tbh

I have yet to find an instance where 4 cards are slower than 3 cards, in absolute terms, notwithstanding scaling.
Please enlighten us as to where "all these reviews" are, so that we can all be as well informed as you are?
