Is it worth it?

I'm wondering if I should really overclock my computer... But is it really worth the extra power?
What can I expect out of my Pentium 4 530 w/HT and the rest of my set-up. Will I notice any difference? I've only got air cooling. Blue Orb 2 to be exact. I've heard it's ok for cooling, and it's not good for cooling...
So any suggestions. Should i go for it?

I always think it's worth the extra X% performance. What does it cost? Nothing! It's free!

Your cpu will probably hit 3.6/3.8 ghz , and that is a huge diffrence from 3.0ghz, in games you will definetly notice the difrence, if you do not have a crappy card of course.

Well, As far as i know the X800 is still a decent card... no where near the best, but it's still good.

I've put my computer through hell experimenting with OCing. The worst thing that has happened was that i had to reinstall windows. Big deal.

So if I do OC, what about overheating? Or is there a program that will tell me if things are getting to hot and I should back down?

use a temp/fan monitoring program. if you cant find one there is almost always one in bios.
just pay attention to the temps. ask on here if you are unsure of what temps are too high/low for your cpu.
