[Again] i5-750 overclock troubles

Thread Starter
My i5-750 is now on 3,39 but when im trying to put it to 3,4 "something" eats my RAM !

It shows like this :

4,0GB RAM > 1,99 Usable
Memtest > No errors
BIOS > Shows 4GB
CPU-Z > Shows 4GB

I have no idea what is happening,

Voltages are same as they should be :

PCH Core > Stock 1,05
CPU PLL > 1,8 Standard
QPI/VTT > Smilar to VCore

> VCore : 1,420
> QPI/VTT : 1,440

[On my mobo 1,4 is like 1,288 "Real". Yes i cannot understand this by myself]

Things like Stepping, Power Saving e.t.c are turned OFF.

Are you overclocking using the FSB or the Multi, Or both? As soon as you bump the FSB up a bit, other components like the NB will need more volts to keep up.

Sorry, most people OC with the multi, the FSB changes pretty much everything, and if voltages arnet up on most componets, it will only get your so far. Is your multi unlocked?

Normally I'd say raise QPI voltage, but 1.44 is already really high, unless 7** series i7 chips are a lot more different from 9** than I think. Try lowering it instead, sometimes too much current messes things up just as much as too little. Try raising DRAM voltage as well.

Vonnis , i cant. 1,44 is like 1,3 [Real voltage]. If my mobo would be normal that i would overclock it normally but you know , it is hard to overclock without knowing the "real" voltage frown.gif
