Sapphire Radeon HD 7870 XT w/ Boost 2GB

Is it worth the upgrade for the long term? It went on sale this weekend for $25 discount ($230) and the sale ends in 2 hours.

I just purchased the U2713HM and I need an upgrade from my MSI Cyclone II GTX 460 so I was suggested this or the 660TI which s too expensive for me.

I've had my 460 for 3 years now and I only bought it for $200 which was a really good value for the amount of time it served me, playing all my games at high-ultra settings. Do I get the same experience with this card?

Tough decision to make in the next 2 hours seeing as how $25 is a decent sale, especially with the limited quantity in Canada.

It's actually a very good card for the price. I can't think of anything else that I'd recommend over it in that range, as the comparable NVIDIA card is a fair bit more expensive.

Alright, so I purchased this and it is now in my computer and good to go. Small problem. There is only one DVI slot, 1 HDMI and 2 Miniport. How do I use 2 monitors with DVI when there is only one slot?

You can't you'll have to either use HDMI, or Displayport.

Being Dual-Link DVI equipped has nothing to do with being able plug in 2 DVI to the one slot, right?

Also, what do you recommend? One of my monitors are for gaming, the other is just a secondary monitor for browser windows, etc. Which monitor should have DVI, which should have HDMI or Displayport?

Main: Dell U2713HM
Secondary: ASUS VW246H

DVI-D doesn't work like that.

Doesn't matter you will set which one will be the main one in Catalyst control center.
Small wonder.

Which is the better choice? HDMI or Displayport? My question wasn't which monitor should be the main, I was asking if the ports make a difference for whatever activity I do. Which port should I use for which monitor.
What ever is easier. They are all digital interfaces so there isn't a difference. If your U27 has a display port use a display port. It only matters if you are going to do eyefinity in that case it would be best for all to be on hooked up the same.

But since you are just using a secondary as a "data" screen then it doesn't matter. What ever cables you have just hook them up.
Small wonder.

Canada computers. I used a HDMI adapter with my Asus and I was getting a blue screen saying no signal. Had to spend 10 extra dollars on a DP adapter.
