Diagnosing BIOS beep code

Hey guys, want to diagnose a neighbours pc that isn't doing anything but beeping... and I need help.

It's an older PC from the looks of it, memory is DDR, board is ASRock K7S41GX, no idea about GPU... removed it since there's VGA output backside... removed unnecesarily stuff for boot like HDD's, optic drives.. just motherboard and memory basically.

So, when I turn it on I hear 3 short beeps... that's it, it's then repeated afterwards after the silence period. If all ASRocks bios manufacturers are the same, then I guess (my mb is asrock too, AMI makes bios for those)... so according to several sites it's following.

"Base 64K RAM failure - A memory failure has occurred in the first 64K of RAM. The RAM IC is probably bad. Try the steps below to resolve your issue:"

Unfortunatelly there's only one stick of DDR in there, and if I remove it... beeps persist. So... any thought? Or if I should just say to the guy... it's most likely RAM.

I thought I posted on general hardware section(overlooked the processor part). I really didn't know where to post it. If some mod thinks it might be better of on some other sectoin, such as AMD motherboards (I only "found" out motherboard after writing most of the message down.

Yep; Its RAM failure. Try some other DDR RAM, if you can. It has AMI BIOS, and the 3 beeps for that is RAM failure. Or, try putting the RAM in a different slot or pushing it in more, if you can without breaking the mobo.
