Is 1.488v safe for a 24/7 overclock? - Page 2

My CPU/NB is involved in this overclock. It is at 2600Mhz with 1.275v. It is contributing to those load temps =P

EDIT: My ram timings are at 9-9-9-24 1T as well. DDR3-1600

Nice. Super cheap chip with good performance especially when you oc the northbridge, she was fun while she lasted. Lowered the oc and gave it to a friend who still uses it till this day so not a complete loss, enjoy!

Everyone knows biggrin.gif

It's called degradation, not denigration. Denigration means to belittle someone. Degradation means to deteriorate.

Indeed it is, I very much love this chip and overclocking it; even if it is a stubborn one for a C3. But anyways those are the settings I arrived at after much trial and error, I'm going to bed and running Prime overnight. I will report the results when I stop the test in the morning, it's been going for almost 3 hours now.

Okay guys, I woke up, showered, and Prime is still running. It has been nearly 11 hours now, so how long should I keep it going?

Your good upto 1.55V..... You won't notice any degradeation until you have been running it over 4 years (24/7)

Hell! You could go up to 1.6V 24/7 and not worry about degradeation, you will upgrade your chip long before it starts showing any signs.

Iv'e battered my chip to hell and back, accidentley ran 2.0V into my 1055T, and still runs to this very day. I've let it run up to 75C on multiple occasions (When Iv'e disabled the fans on my radiator) and still runs to this very day.....

Running good as gold @ 4030MHz CPU and 3100MHz Northbridge...... 3 and half years running now!

Alright cool, but how long should I run Prime? It's been going on Blend for almost 13 hours now without an error.

That's more than enough, I only do 30mins myself, and been running the same overclock for over a month now, and no BSOD's and crashes yet.

Alright I'll let it run until it actually hits the 13 hour mark in about 15 minutes biggrin.gif Then I'll move on to 20 runs of Intel Burn Test on maximum.

EDIT: I just stopped it and apparently it ran for 14 hours, not 13 lol. I'm letting it idle for a few minutes then I'm moving on to 20 runs of Intel Burn Test on maximum.
