Case question: HAF XB owners please help, or anyone else capable

Hi, I'd like to switch from a HAF X to a HAF XB for the smaller size, I wanted to know what the owners idle and load temperatures are in this game with an overclocked processor.

And do you think this is a good idea? I use an H100. I have 24c idle and 40-50 on prime95 at 4.2ghz on a 2500k.

mine stayed exactly the same switching from a shinobi xl to the haf xb, gpu temperature's actually went down due to using a top 200mm exhaust.

3930k @ 4.5GHz 65C full load 7950's @ 1000/1500 73C (shinobi xl was 76C), my idle's are between 30-35C usually (this was the same as my xl).

That sounds really good! I saw they have a new model of the HAF XB too, is that to fix the xdock issue?

Thanks!

That i'm not sure of, I know there was a mesh or window version of the case floating about.

The xb is not that small because its wider. My GPU temps are max 60c on my first card and fx6300 never gets over 60 on a h100i oced to 4.7 at 1.5v

Expect to use more desk space

I brought my CPU back to standard clocks (i7 2600k) for moving into the HAF XB and haven't been assed to clock it back up yet tongue.gif But, with a Noctua NH-D14 on that, at standard clocks, 15 minute torture on Prime95, I maxed around 53 C

GPU wise, I have 2x Gigabyte GTX670's in SLI with the Windforce3 HSF's. In actual gaming, I hit 55-60 C on my main card, 45-50 on the secondary. In benchmarking with Furmark, Uningine Heaven 4, etc, it tops out at 82 C on my primary, 71 C on secondary, and you can actually feel the heat wafting out the top grill... makes my room toasty during the cold days here happysmiley.gif

I should note, the Windforce coolers expel the hot air inside the case, so having the top grill helps
