Hi Guys ,

I am currently having an issue ,i just upgraded my PC . mad.gif

The problem is ,that i have low fps in Counter-Strike :Global Offensive ,AVG 40-50 / MAX 60-70 .

My New PC :

Intel i5 2500k @3.30Ghz
nVidia 9300 GS
4 GB DDR3 RAM Kingstone

My Old PC :

Intel Pentium Dual Core 2.2Ghz
Same Graphic Card (9300 GS)
2 GB Of RAM .

In My old PC i used to have the same FPS ,and now also .
i5 and Dual Core are not the same ,i should have at least more than i used to have on my old PC ?

Thank's in advance!

Welcome to the OCN forums.

Looks to me like you ought to be considering a GPU upgrade as part of this rebuild -- that's really an underpowered card to be running off of a 2500K, which is capable of driving significantly more.

your running the same graphics card, thats litterly the only thing that determines a games fps 90% of the time unless they are cpu intensive games (very few)

not really. You are very limited by your current GPU. the 9300 GS is a very low performance card by today's standard

Your GPU is by far the worst component into your PC, it's so bad that it is completely holding back your CPU (a bottleneck).

Without exagerating, a high end GPU like the GTX 680 is around 400 times faster than your GPU.

Ok ,If i get a GT640 or GT 610 ,would that be good ?

and how much do you think a GTX 650 will give ? (FPS) ?

Thank you guys for the support!

With a 2500K, I personally wouldn't go anything less than a 660Ti, if the preference is Nvidia. There may also be a midrange AMD option in your price range -- you might want to post your question in the General graphics cards subforum here and get some additional suggestions, depending on your budget.

With a GTX 650 you will have good fps, but it is still a little bit a waste to match it with such a powerful cpu.
CS:GO isn't really a much demanding game, but with most other games your GPU will limit your fps on higher settings. I would go with at least a radeon hd 7850 or a 660Ti as above poster said.
