Crossfire 7950

Thread Starter
looking at replacing my current crossfire 6950 TFIII setup with two of these

http://www.pccasegear.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=193_1311&products_id=22854

anyone know what pcb these are based on and if they are voltage unlocked?

Edit:

i realize the site says over voltage support but they also had the same thing up for the 6950's and neither of mine could go over stock voltage.

msi, sapphire and his have unlocked voltage. on asus the V2 cards seem to have unlocked voltage. the recent batches of gigabyte HD 7950 cards are voltage locked.

the TIM application on msi cards is sometimes poor. so you might need to clean and reapply a high quality TIM like prolimatech PK-1.

I've got two 7950 TOP V2 from Asus and PCCG too.. Still testing overclocks as I got the second card today and the OCD in me wants to make sure both cards run at the same clocks and volts no matter what. Even though they are sandwiched they are running beautifully in crossfire, not even that hot. Less hot than the temps i've seen with other 7950's with a full slot between them.
