Thinking of building an APU setup

So i was thinking today and looking at prices of certain things and blimey those APu's are cheap especially for what they offer, But i was thinking why not build one, Is the A10 5800k the highest model? Are newer ones coming out soon? What is arguably the lowest profile but most feature rich board?

The new APUs are coming out some time in june. And for the best bang for the buck motherboard i would have to say the Biostar Hi-Fi A85W

AMD announced they would cut Trinity APU prices in April to clear out inventory for the Richland APUs.

Unless if you need the rig ASAP, I'd say wait for 1-2 weeks for the sale.

EDIT: The Richland APUs are essentially slightly overclocked Trinity APUs but with a smarter turbo system, more power steps, gating, and other power saving features. In laptops or tablets, that's important.

For desktops, maybe higher overclock without as much heat output, though I'm not so sure.

Richland will have 10% improvement in CPU and about 20% in GPU... So if A10 5800k had in some game so for each 25 frames you get like 5-6 frames more...

Lowest profile, with a pretty decent price would be he asrock mini-itx.

And there happens to be a combo aswell.

Although, you're in australia, so not sure if you're able to get these deals.

This one is also pretty good.
