But if you want even more efficiency with your bottom rad, I suggest mounting it vertically like this. So my radiator is mounted vertically, so the bottom radiator HOT air is exhausting on the right side panel so no hot air released in the rest of the case.Bottom Radiator Mod
For this modification, I had to remove the bottom Hard Disk Drive Cage. I also had to remove the bottom of the case, breaking the pop rivet because it was the only way to place the radiator Vertically (on its side) in the bottom chamber. Basically, I used a 1/8" drill bit to pop them out. It looked like a huge task but it end up to be very easy.
Thanks. I have looked at that tutorial already and I reckon that it will be very useful when I do the mod but I have also found a video on the mod on youtube and I will most likely use that more for reference. I have also thought about mounting the radiator vertically but as this is my first mod then if something goes wrong and I am just modding the bottom it wont be visible however if something goes wrong on the side panel it will be very visible and probably end up with me having to invest in a new case.
I was also just wondering how you support the mid plate because I have seen that it can begin to sag after you take the bottom hard drive cages out. In the tutorial posted above the end picture shows a bar supporting it but it does not say how to do it, how easy would that be to do?
