i have a question i am doing some modding to my case... i dont know what something is called... if you look at your case right were you plug in the power to your mobo on the right there is a opening, and its got that rubber thing that "protect" the cables and makes it look cleaner so that you dont see the actual cut on the case... do you know what those rubber things are called and were I can get some?

It's an excellent unit, the design is the same as this Kingwin unit reviewed by HardOCP.

smile.gif what are your thoufhts on a used psu? Apperently this guy knew what he was doing and chose only an quality components. His wife tild me all he did was game with the pc ( besides constantly upgrating) so im under the impressiob he didn "abuse" his components....knowing this do you think its a bargain for that price? Our other options would be a new psu for not more than 150chf on the link I posted... most likely my brother will do some upgrating in his pc nothing major, maybe also adding some ccfl lights ....

A well built unit like itself is going to last quite a while. Essentially till it's virtually worthless.

It's one of the reasons why Corsair manages to get away with a 5-7 year warranty on many units and not be worried about it.

If you do need a unit that big in a pinch, then I would go for it, as it should last awhile. The only component that may fail early on is the fan which would be easy to replace.

ok here I am guys, I have manage a few case mods and a stable oc of 3.8ghz :9 here are some pics of before and after... first ever pc oc or rig mod I have ever done. 20130412_142710.jpg 3246k .jpg file 20130412_155338.jpg 3026k .jpg file 20130412_224632.jpg 3382k .jpg file 20130501_203012.jpg 2958k .jpg file 20130503_155153.jpg 3392k .jpg file 20130504_211044.jpg 3485k .jpg file k. jpg file) 20130513_222955.jpg 3460k .jpg file 20130513_223048.jpg 2612k .jpg file 20130513_223150.jpg 3110k .jpg file 20130513_223304.jpg 3428k .jpg file 20130513_223358.jpg 2374k .jpg file
the part were i need your help is this... on my fan controller i can only hook up 4 3 pin females, and the problem is my top and my radiator (cpu) fan are both 4 pin. With 1 of the 90mm fan (both 4pin) (really stupid idea, but i was convinced, lol,,... no comment) afan f9.jpg 133k .jpg file (look at last pic) i basically thought that if i used jsut the 3 wires coming from the fan (the yellow one in my opinion was useless, idk y but it just was) so i took out the 4 pins cut of the other wires and plugged them in a 3 pin adapter. (why didnt I just try plug them in without cutting the other wire? idk dont ask me i just did it) and i found out my fan would run but i couldn't control it.. oh yeah i also cut the extra yellow wire frown.gif... so my question is how can i hook up my 4 pin fans to my 3 pin fan controller and control the speeds of them. if you need photos of the wires and fans let me know. My guess is that I should have used the yellow wire instead of the blue wire..... let me know what you think, not only of my fan problem but also my rig,

Cheers Tom
