Total War: Shogun 2 GPU Utilization problem

Is the default SLI profile the best or is there a better one?

I have a 2500k @ 4ghz and two 560ti 1GBs in SLI overclocked to 950mhz. Running on Windows 7 64bit with 8gb of ram.

On high settings my I get about 30-60 fps. However the highest GPU utilization I've seen is only 75%; most of the time its like 30-50% and the framerate still drops to 20s and 30s.The game also only uses 700mb of my 1024mb VRAM so I don't think I'm running out of memory.

I'm using the latest Nvidia drivers.

What's your CPU usage like? Shogun 2 can get real CPU intensive in bigger battles.

Shogun 2 is single threaded and uses only 1 - 1½ cores.

Performance is rather normal, I get 30-60 in battles aswell on High-Ultra.

I get similar performance with my set up. Like in the tutorial battle I get around 40-60 average. I hate the stupid benchmark... because it seems like it uses all resources as it should, but in game it doesn't. I average 190 fps in the bench, but no where nearly do that in game.

Well the benches have no real fights going on, its just a bunch of units standing still pretty much so..

Sorry guys, my bad. I notice that I had Smooth Vsync enabled which halved the frame rate; with Smooth Vsync off my GPU utlization jumped up to 80-90% and I can run the game at about 40-65fps on ultra settings.
