mini DP to sl-dvi or dl-dvi active adapter.

Hello

I got the following setup

Sabertooth z77
Intel 3770K
PowerColor Radeon7970(2 DVI(dl), 2miniDP, 1hdmi)
16gb ram
2 monitors with 1680*1050 60hz

The two monitors are connected to the dvi and it is working fine.

I am however gonna buy BenQ 24" LED XL2411T 144hz as a 3rd monitor. This monitor does not have a displayport and I am therefore in the need of an active mini displayport to dvi.

Does the active adapter have to be mini dp --> sl-dvi or mini dp --> dl-dvi?

Thanks in advance!

You need a dual link adapter to do it the way you want.

That being said, you're best off to use the DL-DVI port on your card to your new BenQ, and use a DP->SL-DVI adapter for one of your old ones. Way cheaper option.
