Some questions for 7870/7950/7970

Hey.Sorry for making a whole new thread for it,i know it should have mentioned before, but really this forum has tons of threads,it really needs MUCH read to catch up something you really need.Anyway sorry again.Im new here, ive done some questions about cpus in the intel and amd cpu side of the forum about stock voltages and oc
I want to do the same question about 7950 specially.
Does this ----> http://www.amazon.co.uk/Asus-DirectCU-Graphics-Express-Technology/dp/B008NF3R1I/ref=wl_it_dp_o_pC_S_nC?ie=UTF8&colid=1OC2HUKVPDDIR&coliid=IISAW5QTD4KLZ [its really a masterpiece :')] with asus quality and this great noiseless cooler can OC without messing with voltages @ 1050 Mhz Core / 1350 Mhz Memory? also how much more power consumption it will have?150 (250 from reference) is a lot, so it will be really better in performance ,but it will have the Power comsumption of 7970? Also how much more heat (aka more rpm to drop the temps aka louder) it will be?

About 7970 i have to say ,that most ppl nowadays say its powerful, but is it worth ~80 Euro more from 7950? Also im worried about its power consumption ,while i would overclock it to 1100(Btw can oc to that at stock volt?tongue.gif),im worried about that.

Also i dont know if the 8xxx will be MUCH better(and also more expensive). Will amd cards prices drop more? For example Intel for cpus NEVER drop its prices after every new series. Its their "tactic". Neither Nvidia do it so much. I know that amd is known for droping prices after new series and would really like to see that great 7950 asus @ ~220 euro.

About 7870 i have to ask if is better than 660ti,ok many have done that question but im just thinking if im not be able to spent so much money for the graphic card ,if it is worth the 660 ti ,or the 7870...Obviously, price wise ,7870 is better but is it really better with an mild oc on it?
Btw Is it only me or ..... (the 7950,7970 V2 have Wonderful appearance and they are Huge,but..)
http://www.amazon.co.uk/Asus-7870-Radeon-DirectCU-Graphics/dp/B008A1C252/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1364163380&sr=8-1
....this asus seems ugly a bit? I really cant understand the Gap there ...
Gigabyte Version seems nice but That blue pcb is a deal braker as i want to make black/red case and it really doesn't fit.

Thanks and ...sorry for my english tongue.gif

They all come close together, depends on which brand you want and how much you wanna pay.

If you want a good card for the price with free games, get the Sapphire 7950 OC Boost (100352-2L)

  • HD 7950 = GTX 670
  • HD 7850 = HD 7870 = GTX 660
  • HD 7870 XT = GTX 660ti

Price Performance! (Click to show)
