issue with crossfiring XFX 7770's

Thread Starter
I have an antec power supply that I got in 2009 and I doesn't have a extra 12v plug to plug into the extra card. I;m assuming this is why it wont work? the fan spins but the PC wont recognize it. Thanks

Yes all PCI-E 6-pins need to be connected for the cards to work. Can you give some more information on the PSU and the rest of the system? You could use a molex to 6-pin adapter but if the PSU does not have the needed wattage then you will have to get a new more powerful PSU for the system to run reliably.

Thanks for the info. Its a antec 430 earth watts . I know it not much but its eaten everything Iv fed it LOL. FX-6100 overclocked to 4.7ghz, 8gb DDR3 ram, 5 HDD's and the 7770. Maybe I would be better off just getting a new one. What would you recommend?

Well Antec earth watts are pretty good PSU's but even so 430W is pushing it. I would at least try running with a adapter first. It should work as the 7770 aren't that power hungry. Just don't go folding on all the stuff at the same time or the PSU might over heat (not a big deal it will just auto shut down).
