Corsair TX750W V2: Titan SLI possible?

i know it's a quality PSU and all, but i just need to know that if there ever happens to be a chance to get a 2nd Titan, i want to know if my PSU is up to it. Really, its powering the 3930k at 1.38v, Titan, wifi card, and.... one pre-installed fan on my Coolermaster Storm Scout 2. I know, i should throw more fans in there.

Oh, and 3 SSDs and 2 HDDs as well. What else? What power does each suck out of the psu?

Difference (GPU load) = 236W
Add average IDLE wattage ~15W
Subjective obtained GPU power consumption = ~ 251 Watts

That is measured from the wall ^

With SLI youll never hit 100 percent usage on each card, so youll be more than fine.

Hmm, so its like 500w for two cards, leaving 250w for everything else? Not bad... I did hear that my PSU can go up to 900w max, but im not testing that at all... It's always a "Shoulda, coulda" game with getting PSUs, you get a 750w but no you shoulda got the 850w and so on.....

Your drives are probably like 25W 20W total (wait a sec the drives are relatively small, less platters), maybe a little more if all are being accessed heavily simultaneously. Almost all the draw is the overclocked i7-3930k and graphics cards.

Considering Titan's power target, you're fine if you stick to normal usage of the hardware. With say FurMark + prime95 you could be pushing 750W, but it's not like even that would suddenly cause big problems for a TX750 V2 (other than really ramping up its fan).

Your fine my rig pulls just under 700w measured with a kill-a-watt while folding. CPU at 4.8 1.38v and both titans over clocked at max.

Yea, but your's a 3770k, might be different with a OCed 3930k.

So yea i did some math...

250w from both titans = 500w

Then maybe 175w for OCed i7 3930k, (im not sure, i have it on 1.38v if anyone know how much this CPU pulls)

675w, then drives...

about 700w. that's doable, just 50w away from continuous, and this PSU can go up to 900w, but the power delivery is dirtier after 750w.

You could be fine. I was just pointing out that Quesoblanco was using data from a review to say that 750w was fine, when those same reviewers reached the conclusion that 800w was the minimum safe PSU. Since your PSU is of such high quality it's unlikely anything will get damaged if you attempt it, either the Titans will be starved and underperform or you will trip the PSU's overload protection and it will shutdown.

For normal usage you'll be fine. if you plan on loading everything with that 3930k oced, just buy a kill-a-watt and test it at different oc levels if your really worried (their cheap). From there you can gauge if you need a new PSU or not.
