Intel HD drivers

I currently have the original Intel HD IGP and my current driver is (8.15.10.2827). Now I see a newer driver that is (8.15.10.2993) but should I install this one? From Sony esupport website it shows the current version is (8.15.10.2827) but just wanted to know if I used Intel's latest drivers which is (8.15.10.2993) would it be better overall or there won't be any difference going from 2827 to 2993?

ISSUES FIXED:
The following issues have been fixed in this graphics driver.
Fixed artifacts seen when rendering triangle strips in an OpenGL* MATLAB* sample.
Fixed issue where an OpenGL sample application extends off-screen when the application is changed to full-screen.
Fixed issue where some laptop screens may be blank after updating the graphics driver and rebooting.

meh . .it won't make a difference unless you use openGL in some instances but it won't hurt anything.

Ya basicly Sony recently finally updated there drivers for the notebook I have and it's just the last version of what is there now. I guess Sony is kinda slow on updating there drivers. But they might be OEM I don't know. I just don't know if I can use the generic drivers from Intel. The driver version is exactly the same as the old version of Intel HD basicly both are 2827 so maybe the Sony drivers are generic drivers. If so then I won't think I would have problems using the generic drivers and use the latest 2993.

What games exactly had the OpenGL problem that Intel fixed on the latest drivers? Is it older games like Doom 3 or Quake 4? If not what modern game had this OpenGL problem.

don't think it was games that had a problem but MATLAB (computational software). if you're curious as what games run openGL i believe this is an up to date list:
List of OpenGL programs
