you know what is pissed me of with all those crashes? is my Nvidia drivers i can F... run 310.90 very fine without crash. as soon i do any drivers upgrade it start to crash.

Newer drivers often push cards a little harder/in different ways, so a previously-stable OC that was on the edge will start crashing.

Mmm I like that. I would probably explain it different, so I'll just use this to elaborate what you've said. I'm also going to use a bit of the AMD stuff that's happened, since it applies as well. If they tweak the driver to run the hardware at a tighter latency (latency buddies! wooo wooo), one might assume those new specifications might cause normal clocks to run differently. The idea of tighter ram at a higher frequency doesn't always play well. Now they can't actually change the firmware (ram timings and such), however they can change the driver code. Things could run a bit more efficiently, pushing the hardware harder than previously done. Just an example, a more in depth idea of "push cards in a harder/different way".

The game code may not require this, some games may not even utilize the new driver abilities. Some efficiency cuts might not even give you much performance, at least not overall. It may help specific functions, blah blah. The same scenario happened after AMD updated it's drivers, remember many people reporting OCs becoming less stable. It's also similar to why Linux clocks different than Windows, it runs a much less lax kernel. Windows will accept things that may be unstable, even though tests prove otherwise. Go into Linux, kernel panics and you get nothing. Not uncommon, even if that doesn't happen. Run Linux and compile something big, you can find all sorts of quirks in your OC that way.

What problems are you experiencing?
I have a weird problem with these drivers. I can get almost 120fps when playing BF3 on low, but completely randomly there's fps drops to 40. Those moments ruin my game, cannot shoot or aim properly. I downgraded to older driver (314.07) but problem continues. Is my card failing or did these drivers break something? There's also flickering on distant terrain, I don't have SLI.

One computer these drivers would only cause a BSOD.
Nothing fixed it, not even Driver Sweeper.

2nd computer it installed but would not output any sound through the DVI / HDMI.
Re-installed last drivers and it fixed it.

I highly recommend not updating unless you see a very specific gain for you listed.

I can attest that these new drivers caused a very weird "116" Blue screen error for me. At first I panicked and thought my whole computer went but after I re-installed the drivers and a few restarts later everything worked fine. Very bizarre.

So you're still at 314.22?
