Cooler for a mildly OCd HTPC.

Thread Starter
I have new HTPC build using some older parts and wanted to be able to OC the CPU just a bit (i7 930) to about 3.3ghz.

Is there a compact air cooler that's slim enough for an HTPC that would do the trick? I'm used to running Corsair H50 and the like for my regular desktop, so a bit out of the loop with smaller units.

Its going to be packed into a Silverstone GD05 case if that helps with suggestions.

will we probably need to know which motherboard you are using and if you are using pcie cards AND with this specific case you can use cpu coolers up to 70mm or 120mm if you remove the odd so we need to know if you have an odd aswell

edit: for most micro-atx motherboards this should work:
Noctua NH-L12 it should work with no odd with both it's fans or if you have an odd you can remove the top fan and it will be at 66mm

The scythe big shuriken 2 should also work with odd installed. I have one on my i3 3220 in my htpc, with the gd06 smile.gif

I was thinking about this as well but had concerns with the amount of space in there, will definitely do that though, always been a fan of the Corsair H series biggrin.gif

Thanks for the suggestions gents, repped!
