The standard Powercolor 7870 GHz costs 317$ here and the 7870 Myst costs 329$. Go figure. Normally we get royally screwed in prices by all mfrs because we buy via shops via distributors like for example the sapphire 7870 XT costs 399$ here. Even bumping the exchange rate to (SGD1=USD1.3) doesn't make it look better
Asus did have metal shrouds at one time. I believe my 5870 reference had one.
Yeah the one fan cooling is a bit of a turn off, but the price is almost too good to pass up. Even spending an extra $80 on an Arctic Cooling triple-fan setup would be slightly cheaper than a 7950. Then, factor-in selling the game codes and you're well under 7950 pricing. I'm just stubborn and usually stick with brands I'm familiar with
which is why I'm hesitant with this.
Unfortunately for you guys who are overseas always have to pay premium for hardware.
